This guide will help you setup your email address or domain with Studiorific Campaign. Setting up your address will allow you to start sending email campaigns from our product. Here's a quick overview of what's in this guide:

Getting started with your email setup

In order to start sending emails from Campaign, you need to add your email address to it. There are two ways to add your email address and verify it with Campaign:

  1. Individual Emails: Adding individual email addresses (ex: john.smith@gmail.com or newsletter@yourcompanydomain.com)
  2. Domain: Adding your custom domain (ex: yourcompanydomain.com)

You can start with either of these two, but here's what you need to know in order to know which one suites you better:

Individual Emails ApproachDomain Approach
What email addresses can I use to send email campaigns from?Only the email addresses that you have individually added and verified

Suppose you have added john.smith@gmail.com. Then you can only send emails that appear to have originated from this email.
Any email address you wish to send from as long as the email address ends with your domain name.

Suppose your domain name is bestdomain.com. Then you can send from anything as long as the email ends with @bestdomain.com.

Sky's your limit here.
Which approach is better from a branding perspective? When your customers receive the emails you sent using this approach, a text such as "sent via" or "sent on behalf of" will appear next to the "from email".

For the best branding experience, please use the Domain approach.
This is the best choice for those who want to send emails have them be 100% authentically originate from your domain name. There is no "sent via" or "sent on behalf of" text next to the FROM email when it arrives at the recipients inbox. All emails are digitally signed and authenticated using SPF and DKIM.

This approach also allows you to send from whatever email@yourdomain.com you'd like. There's a lot more branding and marketing flexibility there.
Which approach increases email deliverability and avoid emails being delivered to spam folder? This approach is good for delivering emails but the Domain approach is far better to guarantee better deliverability rates and less emails ending in spam. This approach is best for deliverability and spam avoidance. This is because the emails are securely authenticated as having been sent by your domain.
Does the "sent via" or "sent on behalf of" text appear next to "email from" for recipients?Yes, because this approach doesn't support the same email authentication methods that the Domain approach supports. No, since this approach sends emails that are authenticated and digitally signed via SPF and DKIM security protocols.
Does this approach support email authentication (SPF, DKIM)?NoYes
Do I need technical know-how to set this up?NoA bit. This guide will help you though and you shouldn't need anything beyond the knowledge shared within this article to set it up.

Individual Emails Approach:

Follow the steps below to setup your email address as a Sending Identity in Studiorific Campaign and so you can start sending emails to your customers from it.

How to add your email address as a Sending Identity

Step 1: Login to your Dashboard / homepage

  • You must be logged into Studiorific Campaign in order to add a new email (Sending Identity)
  • Click on the "Sending" tab from the top navigation menu and select "Sending Identity". You can also follow this link for convenience: https://campaign.studiorific.com/senders

Step 2: Click on "New sender" to add a new email address

  • The "New sender" button is located on the right side within the "Email addresses" section. Alternatively, you can click here for convenience: https://campaign.studiorific.com/senders/create
  • Once you click it, you will be taken to a page that allows you to add your name & email address to verify.

Step 3: Fill in your email address and verify you own it

  • Input the name that you want the receipients to see when you send emails from this email address.
  • Input the email address and click the "Save" button to continue.
  • Once you click save, check your inbox for an email address from us asking you to verify your email by clicking a link within the email. The email will be sent from "noreply@studiorific.com" and its subject is "Studiorific Campaign - Verify your sender identity". It might take several minutes for the email to appear in your inbox.
  • Your added email address cannot be used before it is verified. It will remain in the "pending" state until that's done.

Please note that you will receive an email address from us asking you to verify your email address. Just to be sure, please check all folders within your inbox for that email including your Spam folder. If you do not receive that email within 10 minutes. Delete the email address you just added and try the steps above again.

Step 4: Verify your email address

  • Check your inbox for the Studiorific Campaign verification email. If not found within 10 minutes, be sure to check your spam folder for it.
  • Open that verification email and click on the verification link within.
  • If verification goes smoothly, you will be redirected to a page that lets you know that verification is completed "Verification done!".
  • This means that you can head over to your Dashboard and start using Studiorific Campaign to send emails.

Step 5: (OPTIONAL) Double check that your email address was added successfully

  • Open https://campaign.studiorific.com/senders and check the content of the "Email addresses" section. If the email address you just added appears under that section and has a green "VERIFIED" badge next to it, you are good to go.
  • If the green "VERIFIED" badge did not appear, you may have missed one of the steps above. Please read through the steps above and make sure you go through them one at a time and in the order they are listed in.

Domain Approach:

The steps below will guide you through verifying your domain name so that you can send emails from any email address you choose for that domain.

This approach requires that you have access to the DNS records management section of your domain registrar (ex: GoDaddy, namecheap). This guide will walk you through adding several CNAME and TXT DNS records to verify your domain with Studiorific Campaign.

How to add your domain as a Sending Identity

Step 1: Login to your Dashboard / homepage

Step 2: Click on "New sending domain" to add your domain

  • The "New sending domain" button is located on the right side within the "Domains" section. Alternatively, you can click here for convenience: https://campaign.studiorific.com/sending_domains/create
  • Once you click it, you will be taken to a page that allows you to enter your domain name to verify.

Step 3: Enter your domain name and save

  • In the domain name field, add your domain address without the www or https. For instance, if your domain is https://www.luxurypetshop99.com put luxurypetshop99.com in the domain name field.
  • Keep the "Signing enabled" toggle checked for better deliverability of emails. This option digitally signs the emails we send out on your behalf with your information to authenticate the domain and the email's authenticity. It's highly recommended that you keep it on. This option is on by default.
  • Click "Save" to start the verification process.

Step 4: Add DNS records to your domain's DNS management area

  • After having added a new domain, you will be taken to a screen that asks you to add several DNS records to your DNS management area within your domain registrar.
  • The page is shown in the screenshot below with the ficticious domain to be setup. The page associated with your domain name will look similar. You must add all of the DNS records shown within the DNS records table associated with your domain (please do not copy the ficticious values shown below).
  • For additional information on how to add DNS records, please refer to your domain registrar or DNS provider. Below is a list of popular ones and a link to their help articles for your convenience:
  • Once all the DNS records are added, click on "Verify Now" button shown in the screenshot below to validate that all records have been added successfully. Once all records are validated, then you will be able to start sending emails from this domain name.

DNS records could take up to 24-48 hours to propagate. However, we recommend that you give at least 15 minutes before verifying all records.

ADVANCED: Note on SPF TXT records. If you already have an SPF record on your domain (if there's already a TXT record that starts with v=spf) -- see the last record in the screenshot above, then you must edit that record and update it to add the include:amazonses.com to it. This is because SPF records can only exist once and you cannot add multiple ones per domain. But you can associate an SPF record with multiple email providers.

Existing SPF records:

If you already have an existing SPF record, such as (please treat spf.privateemail.com below as an example - you are likely to have another domain name there if you have an existing SPF record):

EXISTING RECORD
v=spf1 include:spf.privateemail.com ~all

Then in order to validate our product via SPF, you will need to modify the existing SPF record that exists to:

UPDATE to include amazonses.com
v=spf1 include:spf.privateemail.com include:amazonses.com ~all

Step 5: (OPTIONAL) Double check that your domain was added successfully

  • Open https://campaign.studiorific.com/sending_domainsand check the content of the "Domains" section. If the domain name you just added appears under that section and has 3 green chechmarks next to it and its status set to "Active", you are good to go. You may start sending emails using your added domain.
  • If the status is set to "Inactive", you may have missed one of the steps above. Please read through the steps above and make sure you go through them one at a time and in the order they are listed in. It's important to also note which area has not been marked as valid. For example, which of the 3 areas above (Domain verification, DKIM verification, SPF verification) has a red X icon next to it?
